SPORTS TEAMS

Keeping active and being part of a team is a big part of life at our school. We offer a variety of sports throughout the year, including mini ball, cricket, netball, and indoor football. Because we are a smaller school, we make sure our kids never miss out—if we don't quite have enough players to fill a team on our own, we simply combine with other local schools so everyone gets the chance to play. It’s a wonderful way for our students to stay active, learn about teamwork, and make new friends along the way.

SWIM WEEK

While we don't have a pool on-site, our students certainly don't miss out on learning to swim. Every year we run a Swim Week at the Richmond Aquatic Centre. It’s a busy and rewarding week where the children head to the pools every day for two lessons a day. This daily, intensive approach is brilliant for building their water confidence and safety skills quickly, and the kids always really enjoy their time together out of the classroom.

CHOIR

We have a choir tutor that coaches keen students. In 2025, our kura entered the Kidsing Choir Festival in the graded category. We achieved a SILVER grading for our first participation in the choral festival at NCMA - Nelson Centre for Musical Arts. This year, we are challenging ourselves to aim higher!

STUDENT LEADERSHIP

A TBCS Student Leader is a high-status, Year 7/8 position at the Tasman Bay Christian School. A Student Leader is the Principal’s representatives within the student population at the school and selection means additional responsibilities and duties on individuals. Being a Student Leader is a commitment in both time and energy. A student needs to be absolutely positive that s/he is willing to make the commitment for the entire year.
