Choosing a school is a big decision, and we are thrilled you are considering Tasman Bay Christian School. As a state-integrated Christian school, we warmly welcome all families seeking a high-quality, Christ-centered education for their children.

Enrolment Priorities ("Preference" vs. "Non-Preference") 

To meet Ministry of Education guidelines, applicants are classified as either "preference" or "non-preference" during the enrolment process. Please rest assured that this is a purely administrative requirement—once your child walks through our doors, every student is a valued and equal part of our school family. You can find more details on this, along with information on Attendance Dues, in the enrolment section below.

Attendance Dues & Support 

Because we are a state-integrated school, compulsory Attendance Dues are collected and passed on to our Proprietors. These funds are used directly for the capital upgrading of school property and building insurance, ensuring our students have a safe, high-quality learning environment.

• Cost: Attendance dues are $300 per child per year (calculated from the beginning of the month your child starts school).

• Family Cap & Assistance: To keep education accessible, dues are capped and only charged for your first two children. Furthermore, scholarships are readily available for lower-income families to help cover these dues and other school costs if needed. We never want financial barriers to stand in the way of a Christian education, so please reach out if you need support.

A Smooth Start for Our Youngest Learners 

If your child is joining us as a five-year-old, we make their transition into school life as gentle and exciting as possible. Our dedicated staff will visit your child at their Early Childhood Education (ECE) centre, followed by two or three fun, pre-arranged school visits to help them feel right at home before day one.

Staying Connected & Getting Here

• Communication: We believe in strong partnerships with our families. We keep you in the loop via HERO (our online portal for notices and newsletters), our active Facebook page, and we always love a friendly chat over the phone.

• Free School Transport: We make getting to school easy! We offer a free bus service covering Motueka, Richmond, Tasman and Māpua, as well as a school van service for families in the Moutere Hills.
