Staff 2024

Our staff are a dedicated team of Christians and highly experienced educators. Many are local to the school and attend churches across the region. Their commitment to teaching and learning is exemplary - providing a range of learning options to cater for a diverse range of needs.

Erica Groube is our talented Year 0-2 teacher. She is proficient in Te Reo Māori and brings so much life and enthusiasm to our school! She attends Celebration Centre in Nelson.

Susy Neilson is our talented Year 3-5 teacher. She is a highly experienced classroom practitioner with a Postgraduate Certificate in Behaviour and Learning. Her previous experience includes RTLB (Resource Teacher of Learning and Behaviour) and a Learning Support Co-ordinator to connect whānau and students with external agencies. She loves paddleboarding and biking - she brings so much life to our team. She attends Hills Church in Māpua.

Rachel Fitches is our extraordinary Year 6-8 teacher and Deputy Principal. Along with organising her family of four, she has recently completed her Masters of Education through the University of Canterbury - what an achievement! She attends Grace Church in Richmond.

Tim de Vries is our principal. Along with his principal work, he is studying towards his Masters in Education (Leadership). He loves playing sport and listening to music. He's quite a lot of fun to be around!

Jess Wilson is our Performing Arts teacher for 2024.  She will be providing release for our teaching team. She attends Tasman Church.

Susie Schruer is our amazing office manager. She ensures our school runs like a well-oiled machine, and she's really good at it! She attends Brightwater Anglican Church.

Fiona Rogers is our teacher aide. She works at all levels of our school with a focus on student support. She attends Tasman Church.

Louise Vette is our Garden to Table co-ordinator and librarian. She attends Motueka Baptist Church and also runs our Friends of School group.
