A Brief History

TBCS was founded in 1986 as a private Christian Primary School. While the school is now integrated into the State School System (meaning that all children are taught in accordance with national curriculum), we maintain a distinctly Christian learning environment and teach from a Biblical world-view. We represent a broadly based evangelical perspective in terms of our teaching staff and Board of Trustee members.

What We Believe & Teach—and why!

The Bible
We believe that the Bible is inspired by God and is therefore our supreme, infallible and final authority in all matters of faith and practise to which it speaks.

God
We believe in one perfect, infinite, holy and loving God, creator of all things, eternally existent in three co-equal Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, to whom equal honour is due.
The Father
We believe that the Father is eternal and personal, and that he is the Father of our Lord Jesus and of all who believe in Christ.

The Son
We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s one and only Son, that he was born of a virgin, led a sinless life, died a sacrificial death for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and that he will personally return to the earth.

The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit makes people aware of their need for Jesus Christ, performs the miracle of new birth, and comes to live in every Christian the moment they trust in Jesus Christ.

People
We believe that people are created in the image of God. However, all of us are marred by sin which alienates us from God, makes us liable for His judgement, and ultimately results in eternal death apart from God's salvation.

Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith alone, is offered freely to the whole human race, but is experienced only by those who trust in the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
